Parent Volunteers

Pony Club is a volunteer based not for profit organization that depends heavily on parental involvement. The most common question asked by parents interested in having their children join pony club is, "what is the time commitment for the parents?

The Caledon Branch of the Canadian Pony Club is run entirely by parent volunteers. Our moms and dads work together to share the responsibilities as equally as possible, so that the time requirement is not a burden on a just a few parents.

There are many areas in which to become involved, from organizing our education programs, to testing co-ordination, or setting up our active social program. We also need volunteers to assist with our riding meetings, PPG, Tetrathlon, Dressage and Show Jumping Training.

Each parent is asked to attend our monthly planning meetings, so all our members views can be heard when we are in the planning stage for the year.

Our Branch is very lucky to have the use the facilities of the Caledon Riding Club thanks to the generosity of the Riding Club Membership and their Board of Directors. As this is a long-standing tradition, our members are expected to participate in various Riding Club activities and events as volunteers during the spring and summer months.
